I agree, but it may be a bit unfair to limit your criticism to Christianity, when similar arguments could apply to any religion based on an idea of a personal, theistic god that encourages its members to proselytize their beliefs to non-believers.
I was hoping you might have written more about what your subtitle suggested. I think that Unitarian-Universalism is a religion that comes close to that. Although it is not completely atheistic, it accepts atheism as a valid position and welcomes atheists as members.
