I am not familiar with the phrase "holiness spiral". Is that the name of a religious concept? Can you refer me to an explanation of it?

Also, the phrase "leftist" is quite vague, since it is often applied to a wide range of political movements and parties, from democratic socialists like governments in Scandinavia to authoritarian state socialists. Do you include the German Nazi party under "leftist" or "rightist"?

And are libertarians "leftists" or "rightists" or neither?

I and many other people have observed how the Republican Party has let itself become controlled by an autocratic narcissist contrary to its traditional conservatism. Thus its cultural exoskeleton (see my article "The Cultural Exoskeleton and Its Embodiment" pinned near the top of my Medium page) is currently embodied Donald Trump and his followers. That supra-organism will collapse when Trump is defeated or dies with no clear successor, leaving the Republican Party greatly damaged.

Furthermore, if Donald Trump wins the US Presidency again and follows through on his threat to disobey the US Constitution, that will definitely damage, if not destroy, the United States as it has been operating until now.
