I have been thinking about this issue a lot, too, but I think you have extended your meaning of "consciousness" too cosmically.

I have a rather different position on it based on neuroscience and cognitive science. My most recent article "What are Ideas? Where do they live and how do they grow?" addresses some of it: https://jmason37-80878.medium.com/what-are-ideas-79e378b0656b#a447-ee556cd81cd1-reply

Other relevant ones are

(I call them supra-organisms rather than super-organisms, but that's an unimportant detail. I agree with a lot of what you wrote about that.)

That one explores some of the things you include under the concept of "consciousness", but I just call it "life" and reserve a narrower meaning for "consciousness".

And that one describes a very specific computer program idea that, I think, exhibits consciousness.
