I question that assertion in two ways.

… these main characteristics that people talk about when classifying what can be a person is qualia. So far only humans have been proven to possess qualia, but if these so called zombies did exist, would we consider them persons?

I question that assertion in two ways. How can humans be “proven” to possess qualia? And how can other animals, including our close relatives and our pets not possess qualia, if we do?
