Imagine an AI that observed the step-by-step details of the construction of many buildings and then used that knowledge to build a new one of its own, step by step. It might well end up with inaccessible and windowless rooms and staircases to nowhere, looking like something designed by M.C. Escher. Or, if it was just trained on a narrow range of cookie-cutter houses or condos, it might not do a bad job of making more copies of those. I wouldn’t trust them, though, to be structurally or functionally sound.
