My Final Goodby

Don’t worry. I’m not saying goodby (or is it goodbye?) just yet. But I may not be in a position or condition to click the “Publish” button when the time comes. So here it is for future reference.

I think Vera Lynn’s classic song, “We’ll meet again, don’t know where, don’t know when, but I know we’ll meet again some sunny day…”, is the most wonderfully hopeful song there is. I will try to sing it as I go.

But for my part, I will also sing the refrain from Woodie Guthrie’s song, “So long, it’s been good to know yuh… I’ve got to be driftin’ along”, in a bittersweet mood, and wish you all a happy life.
