Is it about power and politics, or is it about crime?
When Donald Trump leaves office as President, he and other members of the Trump Organization will be subject to prosecution for alleged federal and state felonies, possibly with prison terms as sentences. The incoming President couldn’t pardon him for state crimes, even if he wanted to.
Could that be at the top of his mind as he refuses to concede defeat in the election? He signaled that possibility when he said, “Maybe I’ll have to leave the country”, as he mused out loud before the election about the possibility of his defeat.
Why else would he even be thinking about leaving the country?
