Thank you for that summary, Grant. I am a Unitarian-Universalist, a religion that denies both the divinity of Jesus and the doctrine of Original Sin. It has roots in what you call the Arian heresy, but as you know, the doctrine of the Trinity was only established by a series of votes at councils of bishops a few hundred years after Jesus death. The votes were contentious and in no way unanimous.
Luckily for us heretics, we are no longer in much danger of being burned alive by orthodox Christians.
