Yes, umair, unfortunately for the planet and for us, our actions are still motivated more by our emotions than by our logic. Language has given us amazing ability to act together in wonderful and terrible ways. We pride ourselves on our accomplishments as a species and think they make us better than other animals, but we lack the humility to admit that we are only animals after all. No imaginary gods will save us from our hubris. Only the humility we might learn from other animals can save us from ourselves.
